Tomorrow! We’re heading to the Lakes Festival, to be held in the charming town of Kendal, in England’s beautiful Lakes district, from October 18th – 20th. On Saturday, October 19th and Sunday the 20th, you’ll be able to find me sitting behind a table at the Clock Tower, and as for where that is, your guess is as good as mine, though I imagine we’ll both find it when we get there. I’ll also be presenting a short slideshow and talk, and I’ll be interviewed by professor Melanie Gibson, on Friday, October 18th at 7:00pm in the Kendal library. Then, on October 23rd, you can find me in London, at Orbital Comics, where I’ll be signing my books and talking on a panel with Hannah Berry, who is a very good cartoonist, and whom I’m eager to meet, and Orbital Comics owner, Chris Thompson,
whom I’m also eager to meet. (For Leialoha fans, Steve will be at Orbital Comics along with Mark Buckingham, the very next evening.) And here’s the link:

And my final and definitive history of women cartoonists, “Pretty in Ink,” will make its debut at the Lakes Festival! My kind publisher has arranged for six (6) advance copies to be sent, and I will be there to sign them. First come, first served! 
More news: The next Miss Fury collection has just come out, but alas! I still don’t have my advance copies, so there will be no copies of the book at the Lakes Festival. My copies will be awaiting me upon my return, and I am eager to see them — this collection contains the early Miss Fury Sunday pages, from 1941 – 1944, and I think of it as The Prequel to the first book.
Can’t get to England? On NOvember 13th, you can find me on a panel at the California College of Art, along with Mary Wings, Maureen Burdock, Isis Rodriguez, and Heather Plunkett, discussing Women in Comix, Then and Now. I promise a lively discussion! WomenCartoonistsFlyer

I am a man and I’m am happy to call myself a Trin(a)head. Just want to send my congratulations on the new book and a big thank you for all the work you’ve done. From Jane Q-X 3 Gem to Mysta to Vampirella, to work from artists like Willy Mendes, Lee Marrs, Jewel etc etc down to the unearthed artists you have uncovered (and which I still have to discover) and finally down to the women artists today: the female character and women artists and creators are perhaps my favorite areas of comic interest. If I was able to get to one of your signings, I’d scream and swoon in your presence. I am so excited this book is out, a perfect winter read.
You are my hero.
PS. I might as well as ask here (if you know what I’m talking about and have answer please let me know): I picked up what was supposedly your business card from quite awhile back. It’s 3.5″ x 5.5″ regular white card stock with a blonde private dick holding a smoking gun. “Trina Robbins Hits the Mark” … 1982 15th Street, SF. Can you confirm if this was used as your business card, and if so, do you recall what year(s) you were using it as such? I’d like to find out the story if possible!

Hi Rob, Thanks for your kind words about my book! Yes, that’s my old card, from back in the late 70s or 80s. I hope you didn’t buy it! The occasional jerk puts it up on eBay. Ridiculous to charge for my business card! Next time, just ask me for one.
